Troop 682 has a proud history, founded on February 8, 1990, with Troop 682G joining in 2022. We gather every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church (PVUMC) in Chantilly, VA—our home base and a place we’re proud to call our own.
While much has evolved over the years, one tradition remains constant: our commitment to Scouting excellence.
We are part of the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) and sponsored by Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Guided by the Scout Oath and Law, our mission is to help youth grow into confident, capable leaders who embody kindness, courage, and integrity—even when no one is watching.

Scoutmaster
Sarah Vepraskas has been with Troop 682G since its founding, providing vision, encouragement, were and unwavering support. Her leadership inspires Scouts to set ambitious goals, embrace challenges, and pursue every opportunity for growth.
Senior Patrol Leader
Bhavya Kanmathareddy leads with energy, commitment, and enthusiasm. Through her hard work and encouragement, she ensures that every adventure is meaningful, every challenge is met with confidence, and every Scout feels supported.

Behind the scenes, a team of dedicated adults ensures Troop 682G runs smoothly and successfully:
– Mr. Ducote, New Scout Coordinator – Welcomes new Scouts and helps them transition with confidence.
– Mr. Storch, Treasurer – Manages troop finances with precision and care.
– Mrs. Anbari, Merit Badge Coordinator – Guides Scouts in exploring new skills and earning achievements.

Our Mission
Troop 682G guides youth in personal growth, leadership, and community engagement through scouting. We offer enriching experiences that build character, resilience, and teamwork. Our Scouts enjoy outdoor adventures, service projects, and skill development, preparing them to positively impact their communities.
Meetings
The troop meets every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. We meet at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, where Scouts lead a game, teach Scout Skills, and sign off requirements.
Leadership
We are required to ensure that our leaders are properly trained, so Scouts can be monitored in a safe environment. We are proud to have past and present leaders who are Eagle Scouts and Wood Badge Certified
