Okay, so here’s the scoop: Troop 682 started wayyy back on February 8, 1990 (like, before TikTok was even a thing , and Troop 682G joined the party in 2022! We meet every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at PVUMC in Chantilly, VA. It’s our home base and honestly, it’s kind of awesome.

Even though a bunch has changed over the years, one thing’s stayed the same—we’re all about Scouting greatness

We’re part of the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) and sponsored by Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church (shoutout to them!). Our mission? Helping you grow into your best self with the Scout Oath and Law as your guide. Think kindness, courage, and doing the right thing—even when no one’s watching.

We’re always doing something—like, seriously, even when school’s out. So if you love being busy (in a good way), this is totally your vibe.

Our Scouts run the show (yep, YOU get to lead!), and the Trail to Eagle is like a choose your own adventure book but with tents, teamwork, and epic moments.

Life Skills? Oh Yeah.

You’ll learn how to lead, how to speak up, how to build stuff, fix stuff, and maybe even survive a zombie apocalypse (okay not really, but close). Confidence? You’ll have it. Knowledge? You’ll gain it. Friends? You’ll make them.

Meet Our Fabulous Leaders!

Okayyy, let’s talk about the amazing humans who keep Troop 682G running like a well-oiled s’mores machine

First up, our Scoutmaster Queen—Sarah Vepraskas! She’s been with Troop 682G since the very beginning (like, total OG status ). Seriously, she’s the kind of leader who makes you wanna climb mountains and earn ALL the badges.

And leading the Scouts like a total boss is our Senior Patrol Leader, Kavya Yallapragada! Kavya = hard work + dedication + sparkle . She’s always stepping up, cheering us on, and making sure our adventures are next-level awesome.

Let’s give a HUGE shoutout to the grown-ups who make everything happen behind the scenes:

Mr. Ducote is our New Scout Coordinator and basically the Webelos whisperer . He helps new Scouts feel right at home!
Mr. Storch is our money master aka Treasurer keeping track of dues like a total pro.
Mrs. Vlasto is our Merit Badge Queen , helping us level up with cool skills and badge bling.
